Associate Group Sales Manager

Philadelphia, PA - Full Time

Responsible for managing a team of up to 25 Account Executive Trainees within the first three months of their time at PLS Logistics.  Responsibilities include managing a sales staff, growing market share, driving revenue growth and delivering modes of diversification.  The Associate GSM will manage sales quotas, develop and mentor sales trainees and collaborate with the SOL or BTL on team sales performance.

Key KPIs to Grow:

    • Net Revenue
    • Load Count
    • Unique Shippers
    • Increase and retention of commissionable Account Executives
  • Monitor individual performance (day, week, month)
  • Benchmark Management of AETs throughout the sales program
  • Interviewing and Hiring AET Candidates
  • Customer Management:  Growth, assignment to AE, maintain service and revenue/margin thresholds.
  • Increase revenue of key customers by supporting, developing and implementing key account strategies
  • Visiting key customers of the branch in person. 
  • Interacting with Finance when needed to assist in efforts of collections from customers.

Requirements:

  • Prior logistics sales experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • 2+ years of sales experience.
  • Prior experience with coaching or mentoring sales representatives preferred.
